It Didn't Happen That Way...
I created these short subjects as
an exercise in timing, sound effects
and musical scoring.
They were created from a series of
cartoons that a friend and I doodled
in a notebook. We played a game of
"tandem cartooning" in which
we took turns drawing a frame of the
"story." It took the form
of a competition in which one person
had to protect some item and the other
person had to think of ways to destroy
it.
It was a fun challenge to make these
cartoons into coherent short subjects
considering that they were completely
unplanned streams of two consciencenesses.
